Galatasaray’s Ziyech Extends Support to Lebanon Amid Israel-Gaza Conflict

After his latest posts in support of Palestine in the conflict in Gaza, which sparked a heated controversy, Hakim Ziyech has just posted a post in support of Lebanon, which is suffering daily bombardments from the Israeli army.
In support of Lebanon, the Moroccan striker of Galatasaray posted on his Instagram account an image of two children holding the flags of Palestine and Lebanon in the midst of the rubble, with the caption "برداً وسلاماً" (Peace and security). With this post, the Atlas Lion expresses his solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, some regions of which are the target of attacks by the Israeli occupation forces.
Ziyech sparked a heated controversy a few days ago with his posts in support of Palestine. "Let’s clarify one thing! Cursed be Israel and any other country that supports this kind of behavior," the Moroccan international wrote in a first post on Instagram, before adding in a second post: "My previous post was also addressed to the government of our country that supports the genocide, as well as to all the other countries that support it. Shame on you..." Faced with the criticism sparked by this second post, the Moroccan striker ended up deleting it.
