Tesla Expands Supply Chain to Morocco: STMicroelectronics to Manufacture Parts

Billionaire Elon Musk’s Tesla automotive brand parts will be partly manufactured in Morocco. In charge, the American company STMicroelectronics, based in Bouskoura in the Casablanca region.
The Moroccan automotive industry is attracting the famous Tesla automobile brand of American billionaire Elon Musk. The American company STMicroelectronics, based in Bouskoura in the Casablanca region, has won a contract to manufacture and supply automotive parts to the electric and hybrid vehicle manufacturer based in Palo Alto, California, reports Aujourd’hui Le Maroc. A main transmitter for Tesla vehicles has already been manufactured.
American automaker Tesla, owned by billionaire Elon Musk, specializes in high-end all-electric vehicles. In 2008, it launched the successful Model S sedan. It is the best-selling all-electric vehicle in the world in 2015 and 2016. In September 2015, the manufacturer released the Model X, an SUV derived from the Model S, then a more affordable compact sedan called Model 3 two years later. In February 2018, Tesla crossed the 300,000 vehicle produced mark. It reached the first million vehicles produced in March 2020.
