Terrorism Convict Dies by Suicide in Moroccan Prison
Incarcerated at the local prison of Larache, an inmate has just taken his own life. He had been convicted in a case related to terrorism.
According to the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR), the inmate M.S. hanged himself at the window of the toilet in his cell using an undergarment he had wrapped around his neck, specifying that he had been convicted of "forming a criminal gang to commit terrorist acts".
No information was given about the identity of the inmate, whether his age or name, or even the length of the sentence he was serving.
The DGAPR also states that the inmate’s family has been notified and that the competent prosecutor’s office has also been informed of the facts.
