Témara Supermarket Burglars Arrested During COVID-19 Lockdown in Morocco

Two individuals, taking advantage of the state of health emergency, to burglarize a supermarket in Témara, were arrested by the judicial police elements of the prefecture of Skhirat-Témara.
The two individuals, arrested with all the loot from their crime, late at night, broke the windows of a storefront at the rear of the building before breaking into the supermarket by force. Once inside, they took away large quantities of sportswear and shoes, reports the daily Al Akhbar.
The speed of their arrest by the judicial police elements of the Skhirat-Témara prefecture was facilitated by the viewing of the surveillance cameras installed at the rear of the supermarket. All the security devices under the jurisdiction of the prefecture were mobilized to identify and locate the two individuals because the burglary was committed in a period when surveillance is reinforced due to the state of health emergency, the newspaper reports. The speed with which the investigation was conducted prevented the two burglars from disposing of the stolen items.
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) anticipated by issuing a press release to announce that the judicial police elements of Témara had arrested two individuals aged 23 and 27, suspected of having committed a theft in a shopping center.
In addition to the stolen items seized, the searches at the homes of the two individuals led to the seizure of a bladed weapon belonging to one of the criminals.
