Teens Hijack Casablanca Bus, Cause Accident in Joy Ride Gone Wrong

On the evening of Sunday, July 28, 2019, two juvenile delinquents took control of a bus in Casablanca, endangering the lives of passengers. They caused a traffic accident, causing material damage.
Two delinquents and an adult got into a conflict with the driver of a bus connecting the beach to the Salmia neighborhood in Casablanca. Overwhelmed, he stopped the bus to call the police. A moment of inattention that will cost the passengers dearly.
Taking advantage of the situation, a minor seized the steering wheel and started the vehicle. He hit another vehicle, causing material damage. The incident could have turned into a tragedy if the distance traveled had been longer.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the two minors were apprehended, while the adult was taken into custody under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
