Teen Driver Injures 14, Including Chinese Tourists, in Fez Vehicle Incident

After taking control of the steering wheel of a vehicle, without the knowledge of its owner, a teenager hit more than a dozen people, including Chinese tourists, on his way.
In total, 14 people, including 10 Chinese tourists, were hit by a 15-year-old teenager who was driving a utility vehicle, without the permission of its owner, in Boujloud, in the city of Fez, according to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
According to the same source, the preliminary investigations reveal that the minor took the wheel of a vehicle parked near a slope, which he intended to use to recover a large quantity of bread, at the request of the owner of a bakery.
The teenager will not reach his destination without causing victims. Apparently, he lost control of the vehicle on the descent. As a result, he hit 14 people: 4 Moroccan citizens and 10 Chinese tourists. The latter were taking photos near the scene of the accident. They were injured to varying degrees.
Under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, a judicial investigation has been opened. The minor and the owner of the vehicle were therefore questioned.
