Teen Gang Member Found Dead in Madrid with Machete, Sparking Investigation
The lifeless body of Guerrero Messousi, alias ’Pepe’, a 15-year-old minor of Moroccan origin, was found on Saturday in Atocha (Madrid), after a clash between youth gangs.
The young man, of Spanish father and Moroccan mother, had ties to the criminal group called Trinitarios de Vallecas and was carrying a 60-centimeter machete at the time of his death. "Pepe" is known to the police for having been the subject of several arrests, say sources of the investigation to 20minutos.
Several members of this network have posted videos on TikTok to mourn the loss of "a great warrior," in reference to his last name, Guerrero. In a park in Vallecas where this minor used to meet with his friends, dozens of green candles were lit, accompanied by messages to honor his memory.

"Guerrero" lived with his family in Vallecas and played football as a cadet at the Deportivo de Móstoles club, where he was highly appreciated. The team observed a minute of silence in his memory on Sunday, during the match against Compostela. "I always encouraged him to be more lively with the ball because he avoided contact and wasn’t a super aggressive player," testified Jesús Miranda, the club’s coach.
According to one of his friends who was with him on the day of his death, the young man was stabbed by eight youths at the Atocha roundabout, a few meters from the "Kapital" nightclub. He succumbed to his injuries a few minutes later. Investigators are reviewing security cameras in the area, as well as videos recorded by witnesses of the scene to identify the attackers.
