Tangier Launches Administrative Police to Tackle Urban Disorder and Illegal Activities

The city of Tangier has announced the upcoming deployment of the administrative police, a measure aimed at putting an end to anarchic practices and combating the illegal occupation of the public domain. The teams of inspectors in charge of this mission will be responsible for drawing up reports of fraud and reporting the dysfunctions observed to the competent municipal services.
According to a press release published by the municipality, and quoted by the Map, the administrative police of Tangier will soon begin its activities, after the swearing-in of its second promotion. Its main objective will be to protect the citizens of the city against anarchic practices and the illegal occupation of the public domain, while controlling unauthorized activities and preserving public health.
Thus, the teams of inspectors from the administrative police service will be responsible for ensuring the execution of the municipal decisions in this area, once they have been assigned to the different administrative districts of the city.
These teams will be composed of municipal officials, selected and sworn in, specifies the same source. Their main task will be to draw up reports of fraud in order to protect citizens against any transgressive or anarchic behavior. At the same time, they will report the dysfunctions observed within the public services to the competent authorities of the municipality.
