Tangier Court Sentences Woman to 20 Years for Kidnapping and Torture in Love Triangle Case

The criminal chamber of the Court of Appeal of Tangier sentenced a young woman, about twenty years old, to 20 years in prison, for the offenses of kidnapping, torture and rape.
Despite the withdrawal of the civil party, reports Tanja24, the verdict was handed down on Thursday, at the end of a trial that lasted several days and where the defendant flatly denied all the charges.
The arrest of the defendant took place 7 months ago, when the police had been called to rescue a young woman in distress. She was about to jump out of the window of a house in Tangier.
Exasperated by the double game of her boyfriend, the victim had asked his mistress to move away from him. She had paid dearly for it. The defendant had invited her to her home, before sequestering, torturing and raping her.
