Tangier Charity Initiative Provides Housing for Homeless During Health Emergency

An initiative has been launched in Tangier by civil society actors to house the homeless and homeless during the state of health emergency.
It all started when businessman Mansour Ajoûd made a building with 5 apartments available to civil society to support the initiative. After receiving the building, civil society called on the inhabitants of Tangier on March 21 to participate in the development of this building, said Hafid Chenghaou, a civil society actor. At the end of the work, fundraising operations to finance the purchase of household equipment were launched.
According to the civil society actor and one of the supervisors of the initiative, the development of the "citizen cohabitation space" is part of the contribution of civil society to the efforts to support this segment of society in the Beni Makada neighborhood in Tangier. According to him, the aim is to provide accommodation and food to the homeless.
He also said that this initiative aims to protect this segment of society, which may pose a danger to itself and to society during the state of health emergency. According to him, this initiative reflects the importance that civil society attaches to creativity and initiative in the context of supporting national efforts to combat the spread of the virus.
