Suspect Arrested in Violent Assault on Moroccan Man in Catalonia

The man of Algerian origin who violently assaulted a Moroccan national this week in northern Spain has finally been arrested by the police. A wanted notice had been issued describing him as a "very dangerous" individual.
A man helped the arrest of the aggressor in Deltebre, Catalonia. According to the police, this individual, who violently assaulted a young man of Moroccan origin in Zaragoza on Wednesday, was spotted on the street by a simple passer-by. The National Police managed to apprehend this individual after having circulated his portrait and requested the public’s assistance, reports EFE.
The arrested man, a 23-year-old Algerian known by the initials R.R., is accused of having attacked a 20-year-old Moroccan with a bladed weapon shortly after 12:30 pm on Wednesday. The victim, seriously injured, had to be admitted to intensive care at the Miguel Servet hospital where he underwent surgery.
The National Police, who had called on citizens to be vigilant due to the dangerousness of the alleged perpetrator, expressed their gratitude to the people who called. "The alleged perpetrator of a knife attack has been arrested in Deltebre after being identified on the street by a citizen. We thank all those who participated in this collaboration," they said on their official Twitter account.
