Survey: Spaniards View Morocco as Top Potential Threat, Outranking Russia

According to a survey conducted by Sigma Dos for the newspaper El Mundo, Morocco is the main potential enemy of Spain.
35.6% of respondents believe that Morocco is currently the main potential enemy of Spain, followed by Russia (23%), China (3.9%), France (1.4%) and the United Kingdom (1.3%). For 15% of respondents, Spain has no potential enemies.
By political party, Vox and Partido Popular (PP) voters are the most numerous to think that Morocco represents a threat to Spain. The trend is reversed on the socialist (PSOE) side, who fear Russia more than Morocco.
The survey was conducted from October 9 to 11, 2023 on a sample of 2,603 people aged 18 and over living in Spain. The methodology used was that of telephone interviews by random selection of households and proportional application of sex and age quotas.
