Survey: Moroccan Support for Israel Normalization Wanes, Still Highest in MENA Region

This survey entitled "Public Views on US-China Competition in MENA" focuses on several questions related to the global competition between the United States and China. In eight of the nine countries surveyed, less than one in five, or one person in five, approves of the normalization agreements with Israel, including less than one in ten in Mauritania (8%), Libya (7%), Palestine (6%), Jordan (5%) and Egypt (5%), details the report.

In total, 31% of Moroccan citizens are in favor of these agreements "probably in part because the United States has officially recognized Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara at the time of the announcement of normalization," says Arab Barometer.
