Struggling Striker En-Nesyri Remains at Sevilla After Failed Transfer Attempts

Despite the anger of FC Seville supporters against Youssef En-Nesyri at the start of the season, the club’s management has no choice but to continue with the Moroccan striker after an unsuccessful transfer window.
Youssef En-Nesyri was booed by Seville supporters after the club’s defeat against Barcelona (0-3) on Saturday. The Moroccan striker missed a lot of clear chances during this match, which sparked the anger of the latter. After a fantastic first season with Seville, where he scored 24 goals in all competitions, En-Nesyri completely sank last season due to a long injury period. The Moroccan international finished the season with only 5 goals.
This drop in the player’s form has worried Seville’s management, who decided to part ways with him. But En-Nesyri is still starting this season with Seville because he has not attracted any other club on the transfer market. "There was no serious offer for En-Nesyri, beyond calls from agents," said Monchi, Seville’s sporting director. West Ham had made an attractive offer of over 40 million euros to secure the services of the Moroccan striker. But it had not been accepted.
Seville is in great difficulty at the start of the season, with only one point in four games. The club was counting a lot on En-Nesyri to achieve better performances this season, but the Moroccan’s current level is below the club’s expectations, which needs to strengthen both its attack and its defense, after Koundé’s departure.
