Street Vendors in Guercif Self-Harm in Protest After Goods Confiscated

After the authorities confiscated the goods of street vendors in Guercif, the latter armed themselves with blades and began to injure themselves voluntarily in front of frightened passers-by and residents of the neighborhood.
This happened in front of the Annajd mosque in Guercif. About ten street vendors inflicted serious injuries to their arms after the authorities confiscated their goods.
This form of protest was carried out using blades, resulting in serious injuries and frightening passers-by and the neighborhood who were able to or had to witness this macabre scene. According to the authorities, the space in front of the Annajd mosque is off-limits to street vendors and the confiscation of their goods is therefore completely legal and justified.
The Caid responsible for this part of the city is said to have later spoken to the bleeding protesters and managed to calm them down. They were taken to the hospital to receive the necessary care.
