Stellantis Gears Up: Morocco to Produce Popular 'Grande Panda' Model, Training Workers in Serbia

The multinational Italian-French-American automotive group, under Dutch law, Stellantis, plans to produce a model that is selling very well in Morocco.

In Morocco, Stellantis plans to produce the "Grande Panda" model, which is in very high demand. In this regard, the manufacturer has decided to train around 100 workers from its Moroccan plant at its Kragujevac (Serbia) plant, according to a source from the Beta agency, specifying that once trained, they must remain in their position for up to a year. They will participate in the manufacture of this vehicle in its Moroccan plant.

The announcements by Radomir Erić, a municipal councilor, that 800 workers from Morocco and Nepal would be hired, are inaccurate, the same source specified. The Stellantis plant in Kragujevac employs around 2,800 workers. 800 more are needed for the third shift work that is to be introduced in October. The "Grande Panda" model is produced in two versions at the Kragujevac plant: hybrid and fully electric, it was further specified.
