Spanish Senator Slams Decades of Arms Sales to Morocco Amid Western Sahara Tensions

Senator Carles Mulet of Compromis reproaches the government of Pedro Sanchez for continuing to provide "massive" arms to Morocco after the ceasefire with the Polisario Front in 1991.
The parliamentarian notes that Spain has continued to deliver arms to Morocco "massively" since the signing in 1991 of the ceasefire with the Polisario Front, reports Ceuta Al Dia, specifying that Carles Mulet has been alerting for a few months on the rearmament of Morocco and has not ceased to question the Spanish Executive on the measures it is taking to face a possible Moroccan attack.

"Since that date, Spain has continued to arm Morocco, a country that continues to threaten it with military bases near the autonomous cities, drones of destruction on the borders of these cities, a continuous invasion of Spanish lands and waters: Chafarinas or Persil, closing of borders, oil exploration near the Canary Islands...," denounces Mulet.
"If Morocco is today a threat to the integrity of the State, or if it continues to massacre the Sahrawi people, it is thanks to the weapons that Spain has provided it," he denounced.
