The Spanish Civil Guard has arrested six people in Melilla suspected of having links with an organization specializing in irregular immigration based in Nador.
The agents dismantled this network during two separate interventions, reports Europa Press, citing a spokesman for the command. The first took place after elements of the Coastal and Border Surveillance Service spotted a suspicious boat coming from the La Bocana area.
On board, three Moroccans who were trying to illegally enter Spanish territory. They were arrested along with the two crew members of the boat for "crime against the rights of foreign citizens."
The second intervention took place after an undocumented person was located at the level of the fishing port jetty. He had entered Melilla hidden inside a boat. The Civil Guard was then able to establish the link between these four detainees and an organization based in the province of Nador.
