Spanish Parents Urge Government to Press Morocco on 2013 Fishing Incident Deaths

The parents of Emin and Pisly are asking the government of Pedro Sánchez to take advantage of this period of good relations to "put pressure" on Morocco so that justice is done for the death of the two young people.
Like every 27th of each month, the parents of Emin and Pisly demonstrated on Monday, September 27 in front of the headquarters of the Assembly of Melilla to demand justice. The relatives of the two young people who would have been shot down in 2013 by a Moroccan Navy patrol boat while they were fishing in Moroccan waters, are asking the Spanish government to seize the opportunity of the ongoing negotiations for the resumption of relations with Morocco to advance this case. They want the alleged perpetrators of the death of their children to be brought to justice, reports Melilla Hoy.

"We had a meeting with the president of the city, Eduardo de Castro) and he promised to discuss the situation with the central government," said Abdeslam Ahmed, Pisly’s father, adding that they have also made an appointment to meet the government delegate, Sabrina Moh. "Now that relations are improving with Morocco and that Minister José Manuel Albares will soon meet his counterpart in Rabat, I would like him to plead our case. It doesn’t cost anything, it’s just a matter of will and decision," Ahmed argues.
