Spanish Opposition Party in Melilla Escalates Rhetoric Against Morocco

The local branch of the Popular Party (PP) in Melilla is sharpening its weapons to counter the new government on certain issues, including those related to Morocco. The party is already making its colors known by multiplying its statements and declarations against the kingdom.
In Melilla, the PP has a clear idea of the various outstanding claims between the enclave and the kingdom, which it intends to present to the new Spanish coalition government. It is the former head of the enclave and leader of the Party, Juan Imbroda, who is leading the campaign. The objective is to destabilize the next Spanish government.
And the Popular Party of Melilla seems to have found the favorite subject that can help it succeed in its mission: Morocco. The political party has gone so far as to describe certain sovereign decisions of the kingdom, such as the closure of the commercial customs at the Beni Ansar border post, as "affronts". The party members denounce the "passivity" of Pedro Sanchez in the face of Morocco’s violation of the good neighborliness treaty, reports les Ecos.
They have also openly attacked the Moroccan authorities, accusing them of making "unilateral and counterproductive decisions" without taking into account the interests of the enclave. The Popular Party says it is patiently waiting for the next cabinet to be formed to continue its lobbying on "vital" issues for Melilla.
For this opposition party, it is appropriate that the benefits of the relationship between the two countries do not only benefit Morocco, the same source specifies.
