Spanish Maritime Firm Rudder Expands to Morocco, Opens Tangier Office

The Spanish group Rudder Marine Services & Ship Repairs is establishing itself in Morocco. A specialist in maritime services, freight forwarding and maritime repair and maintenance, the operator will be based in Tangier.
Established in Barcelona for four years, Rudder has since established itself in the freight forwarding and ship agency business, reports Challenge. By setting up in Morocco, the group is making its first international experience after developing its network on the Iberian market with a dozen agencies across Spanish ports.
For this experience outside the Iberian borders, the new subsidiary has been named Rudder Morocco Marine Services & Ship Repair with a new management team whose main mission is to successfully integrate and exploit synergies with the other components of the group and further develop the business on the Moroccan market.
Like the ten or so specialists, the new Spanish subsidiary intends to play its part by financially contributing to the development of this sector, which has been hit hard by the coronavirus crisis (over 10 million DH in 2018).
