Spanish Hotel Group Silken Expands to Morocco, Plans 10 Airport Hotels Ahead of 2030 World Cup

The Spanish hotel group Silken will open ten hotels in Moroccan airports, starting with Casablanca. Objective: to support the national tourism strategy for the 2030 World Cup.
Silken Hotels Morocco has inaugurated its first establishment in Morocco at Casablanca airport, marking the beginning of an expansion strategy. This company is the result of a partnership between the Spanish hotel group Silken, with 30 years of experience, and its Moroccan partner Noamane el Belghiti, president of Globalia Group. Mr. El Belghiti also serves as the general manager of Silken Hotels Morocco.
This opening constitutes the first step of an initial plan to open ten hotels across Morocco. According to Noamane El Belghiti, this initiative aims to "position Silken Hotels Morocco as one of the main players in the hotel sector in Morocco". Regarding the Casablanca establishment, he stated that "the opening of this hotel at Mohammed V airport [...] represents the first fruit" of this strategy, adding: "We are opening the first of two hotels planned in such an important city of Morocco as Casablanca".
The general manager of Silken Hotels Morocco confirmed that agreements have been concluded for a total of ten hotels. He detailed the following locations: "Two in Casablanca, in Tangier, in Tetouan and in Dakhla, one in Nador". Mr. El Belghiti also specified that projects for "another in Agadir and in Ouarzazate are under study".
For Noamane El Belghiti, Morocco presents "great investment possibilities in the tourism sector", which he describes as "one of the most important in the development and modernization process that the country is experiencing". "That’s why ’we have already concluded agreements to open and manage 10 hotels’", he explained, linking the company’s expansion strategy to Morocco’s tourism potential.
