Spanish Far-Right Proposes Border Wall in Ceuta and Melilla to Curb Irregular Immigration

A bill for the construction of a wall on the borders of Ceuta and Melilla. This is the latest brainchild of the Spanish far-right deputies to make a place for themselves in the Congress in the next elections. This political tendency intends, with this bill, to contribute its stone to the fight against irregular immigration.
A thick, resistant, high and impassable wall. Announced the leaders of the far right. It was during an intervention before the media that the Secretary General of a party of this tendency and the Spokesperson of its parliamentary group estimated that the fences of Ceuta and Melilla "have shown their ineffectiveness".
They demand that the barbed wire be removed soon, as it is "used as an excuse by NGOs to denounce the cruelty of this device". According to the Secretary General of Vox, Javier Ortega Smith, the idea of reinforced concrete, an insurmountable obstacle, is justified by the fact that the majority of migrants do not climb the fences but make openings in the grid to access the enclave.
The nationalist party with racist ideas seems to have thought of a battery of measures to counter the arrival of migrants through the borders of the presidios. It even wants to authorize the use by the security forces stationed at the borders, of anti-riot equipment, but also of better protection.
With the army and the security forces being Vox’s privileged electorate, the party is counting on their cooperation to fight against irregular immigration, especially when it comes to the extradition of the migrant once intercepted.
This is a measure that requires the cooperation of the Moroccan authorities who, for the time being, have remained silent on the proposals of the party. Issued by Vox, they come in a context where migration pressure has decreased by 45% compared to last year.
