Spanish Far-Right Party Vox Calls for Restrictions on Moroccan Access to Ceuta Hospital
Moroccans going to the hospitals in Ceuta are in the sights of the Spanish far-right party Vox. They would be brought to the hospitals by mafias and would overload the services...
Vox’s Ceuta Senate candidate, Yolanda Merelo, stated, according to El Foro de Ceuta, that "mafias are introducing sick people and pregnant women to Ceuta" and that health care for migrants should be removed and a quota for health care for those who do not have Spanish nationality should be established, even if they have a valid work permit.
Merelo complains: "the emergency services and the delivery unit are overloaded by the services provided to Moroccans". And for her, "the Ceuta hospital is for the inhabitants of Ceuta and not for Moroccans".
At the same time, Merelo stated that since "large quantities of medicines" are moved to the hospital, "security cameras and a metal detector" should be installed.
Note that the Spanish far-right party Vox is in full campaign for the legislative elections to be held at the end of April next, and precisely on the 28th, before attacking the European elections a few weeks later.
