Spanish Expat Found Dead in Tangier Apartment; Suicide Suspected

The body of a Spanish sexagenarian, who died last Friday, was found on Monday morning in his apartment in the Al Majd neighborhood in Tangier. The man had committed suicide by hanging.
According to the Tangier Prosecutor’s Office, the most likely theory seems to be that of suicide, although the criminal hypothesis has not been ruled out. The housing of the Spanish national, who had been separated from his wife and children for 2 years, was locked from the inside.
Worried by the sudden disappearance of the man named Juan, who was highly appreciated for his calm and kindness, the neighbors finally alerted the police on Monday morning, reported the site Amnous, stressing that the death dates back 3 days.
An investigation has been opened by the national brigade of the judicial police of Tangier under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
