Moroccan Man Found Shot Dead in Luxury Car on Costa del Sol Highway

A 40-year-old Moroccan was found dead at the wheel of his car, early Sunday morning on the Benahavis highway, in the Costa del Sol region. An investigation has been opened by the Guardia Civil services.
It was 8:30 a.m. when local residents called the 112 number to report gunshots on the highway, local media report. An ambulance and a police patrol were dispatched to the scene.
A forty-year-old man of Moroccan origin, whose identity has not been revealed, was found dead, riddled with bullets in his vehicle. When the emergency services arrived, the engine of his luxury car, a Bentley, was still running, the same sources point out.
There is still a veil of uncertainty surrounding this attack. For the moment, the police favor the drug cartel trail. The victim, residing in an upscale neighborhood, was most likely the victim of a settling of scores.
