Moroccan Man Shot in Marbella, Spain; Police Launch Investigation

A man of Moroccan origin was shot in the night from Saturday to Sunday in Marbella, in southern Spain. An investigation has been opened and a search warrant targeting an individual has been issued by the police.
It is not yet known whether the Moroccan has another nationality, but according to the sources cited by the local newspaper Malaga Hoy, the victim was shot in the back. It was an individual driving a car registered in Germany who dropped him off in front of the hospital before fleeing.
For now, the police have opened an investigation to try to determine the exact circumstances of this shooting that took place not far from the center of this tourist town on the Costa del Sol.
Aged 37, the Moroccan was admitted to the Quirónsalud hospital in Marbella and only suffered minor injuries, according to the medical team who took care of him.
In a press release, the police issued a search warrant for a man of heavy build measuring about 1.80m. He was driving a black Volkswagen Golf car registered in Germany.
In recent years, many shootings have taken place in this city much appreciated by drug traffickers, particularly those from the Moroccan mafia in the Netherlands. Several deaths have been recorded there.
