Moroccan Man Arrested in Spain for Series of Car Battery Thefts

The Spanish National Police arrested in Malaga a 45-year-old Moroccan man for the theft of the batteries of four vehicles as well as valuable items they contained.
The police officers were alerted by a witness who claimed that the suspect was trying to force the door of a parked car in the Nueva Malaga area, the provincial police headquarters said in a statement.
Once on the scene, the agents identified the vehicle, which had already been stripped of the valuables inside and the battery. Expanding their search in the area, the agents finally arrested the Moroccan, who had in his possession the various stolen items and the battery. After verification, the agents found that three other vehicles had also been deprived of their batteries. The police were able to identify their owners and inform them of the theft.
The suspect, accused of several counts of theft, was brought before the competent court in Malaga.
