Spanish Children’s Fashion Brand Mayoral Expands Operations in Morocco

Mayoral is strengthening its presence in Morocco. The company specializing in children’s fashion has just opened a new subsidiary in Tangier.
By opening this new subsidiary in Tangier, Mayoral aims to increase its presence in the market where it already has 20 points of sale, reports EFE, recalling that the Malaga-based company has been present in Morocco since the 1980s. Mayoral preferred to establish itself in this Moroccan city "due to its proximity to Spain".
The choice of Tangier is not insignificant. The city, located in the north of the kingdom, is not far from the port of Algeciras; a strategic geographical position to facilitate and reduce the time of logistics operations, it is specified.
In 2024, the children’s fashion company continued its expansion policy by opening its first store in Chile. It now has more than 350 stores and franchises around the world, particularly in Italy, Portugal, Greece, Romania and Mexico. Mayoral also aims to open its own store in France by 2025.
Founded in 1941, the Malaga-based company closed the 2023 financial year with a turnover of 397.66 million euros, almost stable compared to the previous year.
