Tanger Med Port CEO Dismissed for Alleged Conflict of Interest

Hassan Abkari, CEO of the Tanger Med Port, has been dismissed from his duties, for "serious misconduct".
Hassan Abkari is no longer the CEO of the Tanger Med Port. His dismissal came on Friday following an emergency meeting of the Board of Directors of this strategic institution. According to the Spanish newspaper Economia Digital, he would have created a "port services" company in Valencia which houses a major port competitor of Tanger Med.
