Spain to Reopen Borders with Ceuta and Melilla in March, Ending COVID Closure

The reopening of the borders with Ceuta and Melilla is scheduled for March 2021. The information was relayed earlier this week by the Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.
The Spanish media stressed that the Beni Nsar and Tarajal crossings will be accessible from the first week of next March, subject to the evolution of the epidemiological situation.
Morocco had requested in September to reduce the number of border posts to one per city, and to limit passage to employees and tourists only.
The decision to ban the movement of goods, decreed by the Moroccan authorities "for the defense of the dignity of the Moroccan woman", will continue to suffocate both the economic operators of the Spanish cities and the thousands of "mule women", writes the same source.
