Spain Praises Morocco’s Decision to Suspend Annual Migrant Return Operation Amid COVID-19 Concerns

"We must thank Morocco for its awareness of the risks and the prudence it has shown in taking this measure," said Fernando Simon, government spokesman on the management of the health crisis related to covid-19, during a press conference at the headquarters of the presidency of the executive.
He considers it a "very prudent measure that Morocco has taken and which benefits us". Insofar as the concentrations of people from different countries "waiting for all the boats in Algeciras could generate a major problem," he notes. "I think Morocco has done us a service with this measure," he said happily.
