Spain’s Far-Right Vox Party Proposes Concrete Wall for Ceuta and Melilla Enclaves

The Spanish far-right party, Vox, proposes to surround the enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla with a "concrete" and "impregnable" wall. Spain is the last European country to still have a piece of African land, in this case, two enclaves north of Morocco: Ceuta and Melilla, which are advanced European borders in Africa.
Today, recalls France Inter, the two cities are surrounded by huge fences to prevent migrants from crossing them.
In Melilla, it is a series of 3 fences 8m high, not to mention the one that Morocco has just built. But what about the barbed wire installed to prevent the daring from climbing the fence? They are described as real razor blades, lined up by the thousands at the top of these fences.
Many people have been injured, especially migrants trying to cross, so much so that the Spanish government has finally promised to remove them: there are still two and a half kilometers out of the 11.5 km of fencing, reports France Inter.
But now the far-right party, Vox, has proposed to replace these fences with a wall, and this for the two cities. A party official, at a rally, had spoken of a concrete wall so high that no one would even think of going over it, "even with the help of the Moroccan gendarmerie."
But the chances of seeing this wall built one day are nil, according to France Inter, since Vox is the only party to have proposed such a project.
