Spain Denies Discrimination in Repatriation of Citizens from Morocco

The government did not discriminate between Spaniards and Spaniards of Moroccan origin during repatriations from Morocco. This is the denial made on Thursday by Manuel Muñiz.
The priority of the government was to repatriate the Spaniards, "without distinction", declared Manuel Muñiz, acknowledging that subsequently, the clarification was made to prioritize Moroccans residing in Spain, and mainly those who are of Spanish parents on the one hand, and humanitarian cases on the other.
In total, 17,500 people, including 40% of Spaniards of origin or not, 55% of Moroccans residing in Spain and 5% of EU nationals living in Spain, have been repatriated to Spain since the declaration of the state of emergency, via two flights chartered by Spain and 12 ferries, Muñiz points out.
After the Tangier-Malaga ferries on May 22 and 28 and those made on June 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18, two others will depart on Friday and Saturday, and two others on July 1 and 2 to Algeciras, if the health conditions are met.
