Southampton Set to Part Ways with Moroccan Midfielder Sofiane Boufal

Sofiane Boufal’s departure from Southampton is becoming more certain. He has already received the blessing of the Saints’ coach, who admitted in a press conference that the Moroccan is one of the players who can leave the club.
During the press conference, Ralph Hasenhuttl, Southampton’s coach, explained that the Moroccan international must leave the club this summer. Moreover, the player was not present at the match that pitted the club against Crystal Palace on Saturday. The player’s departure therefore seems to be practically acquired.
Boufal landed at Southampton in 2016 for the club’s most expensive transfer: £16 million. He has 84 games played, 5 goals scored and spent the 2018-2019 season on loan at Celta Vigo. The player has made it clear in recent months that he wants to find a club where he can show all his potential.
