Sofiane Boufal: La Liga’s Most Substituted Star Despite Strong Performances

Despite a good performance with Celta Vigo (on loan from Southampton FC) Sofiane Boufal is strangely the second most substituted player in La Liga. There is only one match in which he was not substituted and which he played from start to finish.
In 21 matches played in La Liga this season, Sofiane Boufal was only able to play one in full. The Portuguese coach of Celta Vigo, Miguel Cardoso, keeps replacing him. If he is not the most substituted player, it is because Toni Villa, the attacking player of Valladolid, surpasses him by two matches.
Titled 15 times, the Moroccan has been replaced 14 times, while Toni Villa has returned to the bench 16 times. The reasons of the coach are so far unknown. Strategy or inability of the player to hold a full game? The mystery surrounds the question.
Note that Hervé Renard selected him to play for the national team during the 2019 CAN qualifiers, and he should be part of the squad that will compete in the 32nd edition scheduled for June 21 to July 19, 2019, in Egypt.
Born in Paris in 1993, the player long hesitated between Morocco and France before finally opting for the Atlas Lions on the advice of... Hervé Renard, his former coach at Lille.
