Six Moroccan Women Named Among Africa’s Top 110 Exceptional Leaders

The new ranking of the 110 exceptional women in Africa for the year 2022 was published on Monday by the magazine "The New Africa". Six Moroccan women are part of this list.
Among the Moroccan women identified by the magazine are Jamila Sedqi, the first Moroccan woman judge at the Administrative Tribunal of the African Union (AU), Aicha Duihi, activist and president of the International Observatory for Peace, Democracy and Human Rights, based in Geneva, and Nouzha Bouchareb, former Minister of National Land Use Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy, President of ConnectinGroup Int’l.
To these are also added Karima Rhanem, President of the International Center for Diplomacy, Asmae Boureddaya, a young diplomat particularly engaged in African affairs, and Meryem Ouhssata, a young leader of pan-African parliamentary diplomacy.
According to The New Africa Magazine, these Moroccan personalities have shown exceptional courage and leadership in their mission to protect the environment and defend human rights, and advocate for changing narratives on the continent through politics, arts and culture, development and economic partnership, civil society and diplomacy.
The publication also added that "they are examples for the younger generation of men and women and deserve to be recognized and celebrated, noting that it is happy to tell their stories, as they can inspire our world to live up to their courage."
