Siemens Gamesa Plant in Tangier Hits Milestone: 100 Wind Turbine Blades Produced on New Line

A second production line for the Siemens Gamesa plant was inaugurated in 2017 in Tangier. This production line, entirely dedicated to the manufacture of SG 3.4-132 type blades, will allow the plant to be more efficient and more profitable.
And, two for the Siemens Gamesa plant in Tangier, which has just reached an important milestone. Indeed, according to challenge.ma, it has just produced its 100th blade from its second production line. This will serve various local and international markets.
According to the site, the plant was designed to produce several types of blades in order to meet the ever-increasing demand from customers for access to high-quality products at competitive prices.
100 blades were produced in record time, 13 months after the introduction of the product, according to challenge.ma, which specifies that 93 of them have already been shipped to various national and international markets.
Jean Pierre Sánchez, Director of the Siemens Gamesa plant, told the site that "the blades were designed to complement the ’product’ offering of the Tangier plant".
Customers would be on the lookout for solutions offering a rated power greater than 3 MW, but also an optimal energy cost, according to the Director.
