Sevilla’s En-Nesyri Attracts Transfer Interest Despite Copa del Rey Heroics

As the winter transfer window draws to a close, Sevilla FC has not yet made any decision regarding Youssef En-Nesyri. The Moroccan striker scored the only goal against Osasuna (1-2) in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey.
Since his performance at the World Cup in Qatar with Morocco, Youssef En-Nesyri has attracted the interest of several major European clubs such as West Ham. But the Moroccan international, whom Sevilla wants to get rid of for some time due to his drop in form, does not seem enthusiastic about the Premier League. The French Ligue 1 club Nice has also expressed its intention in recent days to secure the player’s services, recalls El Desmarque.
The Moroccan striker was not a starter on Wednesday against Osasuna in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey, but ended up creating the surprise in Pamplona by scoring Sevilla’s only goal, allowing his team to come back and play extra time. This decisive goal, En-Nesyri’s fourth in the Copa del Rey, was celebrated by the player in a particular way. The striker went to the corner and kissed his jersey, as a new declaration of love to Sevilla.
En-Nesyri arrived at Sevilla three years ago from Leganés. He remains very attached to the club and does not want to leave, at least not for the moment. "I thank all the clubs that have contacted my agent. But for now, I want to keep my head at Sevilla. It’s not a question of money. It’s a sporting issue, of wanting to help the team in the worst moments," he recently said in a statement.
