Severe Thunderstorms and Strong Winds Forecast Across Morocco

A new episode of bad weather is announced at the beginning of the week. The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts heavy thunderstorms in places and gusts of wind in several provinces of the kingdom.
These showers (25 to 35 millimeters) are expected this Monday, August 29 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., in the provinces of Driouch, Guercif, Taourirt, Nador, Fquih Ben Salah, Khouribga, Béni Mellal, Azilal, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Rhamna, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Marrakech, Ouarzazate and Taroudant, indicates the DGM in an orange alert bulletin.
The same phenomenon (with 30 to 45 mm of precipitation) will occur in Aousserd and Oued Eddahab tomorrow, Tuesday, August 30, 2022. These showers will be accompanied in places by hail and gusts of wind, at a speed ranging from 60 to 85 km/h, specifies the same source.
