Morocco Braces for More Thunderstorms: Heavy Rain and Hail Expected in Multiple Provinces

Thunderstorms continue in Morocco. The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts new rainfall in several provinces of the kingdom.
Heavy thunderstorms (20 to 30 mm) in places will hit this Sunday, August 28, 2022 between 2pm and 11pm in Taza, Sefrou, Meknes, Fez, Moulay Yaacoub, Ifrane, El Hajeb, Al Hoceima, Boulemane, Khemisset, Khenifra, Azilal, Al Haouz, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Midelt and Errachidia, the DGM indicates in an orange alert bulletin.
These thunderstorms will be accompanied by hail in places, as well as gusts of wind (60/70 km), the same source specifies.
