Contrary to rumors about its closure, the port of Sète is still operational and the link with Morocco is confirmed, according to the port authorities.
It all started with a journalist’s article announcing the closure of the port of Sète by prefectural decree. This information was immediately denied by the authorities of the ports of Sète, "these are just rumors" and "the port is not closed at all", they specified.
After several months of border closures, Morocco has authorized its nationals and foreign residents to return to the country since July 15th. On this occasion, Sète and Genoa had been identified as liaison ports.
