Ferry Service Resumes Between France and Morocco After Covid-19 Disruption

The port of Sète says that the GNV ferry rotations to Nador will resume this Saturday and will be operated until January 8. Good news for the French, including Moroccans living abroad, stranded in Morocco.
"The situation has been unblocked at the prefecture level, which is in the process of drafting the order concerning the resumption of GNV’s activity," said the port of Sète. The only problem this port has encountered is not having, at the time of writing these lines, confirmation of this unblocking by the Moroccan authorities, reports Midi Libre.
Travelers will therefore have to play the card of caution not to find themselves in an untenable situation. A suspected case of Covid-19 had forced, on Sunday, October 11, a ferry serving the Nador-Sète and vice versa route to remain at sea awaiting an agreement between the Hérault prefecture and the GNV company concerning the compliance with health rules to authorize it to return to the port of Sète.
Subsequently, the agreement had been obtained, and the 430 passengers from Nador had finally reached Sète.
