Moroccan international Amine Harit tested positive for the coronavirus. His club announced the news without naming the player, but a German newspaper "Bild" published the information citing the Moroccan by name.
The announcement of the contamination of a member of FC Schalke was made on Thursday, September 24. "A member of the team tested positive for Coronavirus on Thursday. All other tests were negative," the statement said.
The 23-year-old player would currently be in quarantine at home, and will therefore not be present at the match his club is playing against SV Werder Bremen this Saturday.
