Schalke 04 Clarifies Amine Harit’s Suspension, Cites Behavior Not Ethnicity

A week after his sidelining at Schalke, the officials of the club of Moroccan international Amine Harit have sought to clarify the situation. According to the German club, this suspension of the Moroccan player is not related to his origins.
The sidelining of Atlas Lion Amine Harit and his Algerian teammate Nabil Benrtaleb from the Schalke 04 professional group is rather justified by his behavior on November 24. He had expressed his anger after being substituted as early as the 39th minute during the match against Wolfsburg (0-2 defeat). For Jochen Schneider, the club’s sporting director, this attitude of the player was "not good". According to him, the club has given time to Amine to reflect.
Unlike Harit and his teammate, the Frenchman Benjamin Stambouli, also involved in the facts attributed to the other two, was not punished.
In a tweet, the club specified that the reflection break for Harit and Bentaleb "has nothing to do with their roots!" "For us, it has fundamentally nothing to do with origins," the club added on Twitter.
