Schalke 04 Looks to Offload Moroccan Stars Harit and Mendyl in Transfer Shake-up

The two Moroccan internationals Amine Harit and Hamza Mendyl may be living their last weeks within the German team of Schalke 04 which wants to find another club for them in the next transfer period.
The drop in performance, but also their behavior off the field, seem to be one of the reasons that would push the club to want to get rid of them. According to the specialized website SportBild, Schalke 04 has just recruited a new sports director and the latter plans the departure of at least 9 players, including the two Moroccans. These departures will be offset by new blood and new ambitions for the German club.
In Harit’s case, several French and English clubs could make offers but Schalke 04 would demand between 10 and 20 million for the one who had been elected last year as one of the best young players in the German championship. If no club comes forward, the Moroccan player can count on a contract that protects him until 2021.
The young Hamza Mendyl could see his transfer finalized at the end of the season. At 21 years old, the club does not at all appreciate his drop in form in recent months and the multiple injuries of the one who had nevertheless made a strong impression during the previous matches of the Atlas Lions.
