Salé Launches Gas Cylinder Disinfection Campaign to Combat COVID-19 Spread

In order to limit the spread of the coronavirus in the prefecture of Salé, the authorities have started an operation to disinfect gas cylinders. It is part of a series of preventive measures including the disinfection of streets, transport and public spaces.
In a statement to MAP, the head of the economic affairs and coordination division at the prefecture of Salé, Ahmed Hdidou, said that the prefecture has decided to raise awareness among distributors of domestic gas bottles on the need to disinfect the bottles before putting them on sale, especially since recently the demand has exploded.
The government has assured that despite the strong demand, the Kingdom has sufficient stocks of butane gas, as well as the necessary logistical means to ensure regular supply to the national market.
