Saint Laurent to Showcase Men’s Collection in Marrakech, Honoring Founder’s Moroccan Legacy

The French luxury house Yves Saint-Laurent has chosen Marrakech for its next men’s collection. Fashion lovers are invited.
The Saint-Laurent SS23 show will take place on July 15 at a secret location in Marrakech. This show will coincide with an exhibition that will highlight "the founders’ love affair with Morocco," says WWD. Titled "Love", this exhibition will take place from June 5 to October 31 at the Palácio Duques de Cadaval in Évora, Portugal.
The choice of Marrakech for the next Saint-Laurent show is explained by a long-standing relationship between the famous couturier and the ochre city. This relationship dates back to 1960. Yves Saint-Laurent was greatly inspired by Moroccan culture and local clothing styles. For a few years now, Marrakech has been home to a museum dedicated to the work of the couturier, located near the Majorelle garden, which he and his companion Pierre Bergé had purchased.
