Yves Saint Laurent Exhibition in Marrakech Celebrates Moroccan Fashion and Culture

"Fabric of the Senses, Resonances, Serge Lutens, Yves Saint Laurent" is the exhibition of two giants of fashion and beauty in the world, who are interested in Morocco and its cultural riches. The exhibition opened on Thursday, July 25, 2019, in Marrakech.
This exhibition started on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the Dar El Bacha Museum of Confluences, located in the ochre city. All fashion and beauty lovers are invited to rediscover not only the richness of traditional costume but also the secrets of feminine elegance in Morocco, through the work of these two artists.
"It will present a collection of caftans, acquired by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, which demonstrate their admiration for this garment considered as a landmark of the cultural identity of the Kingdom. In resonance, the series of photographs, taken in the 1980s by Serge Lutens, on the traditional gestures and ingredients of beauty, testifies to a search for new inspirations," said the National Foundation of Museums.
According to the Foundation, the two giants fell in love with Marrakech, from which they draw inspiration to sharpen their creativity. "Serge Lutens is a stage director who landed in the ochre city in 1968, two years after Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé’s first trip to Morocco," the Foundation said.
