Sahrawi Women in Refugee Camps Decry Dire Conditions and Aid Mismanagement

Faced with destitution, the Sahrawi women in the Lahmada camps have launched a cry of distress. They accuse the Polisario of being the cause of their misery.
"The situation is unbearable," say the Sahrawi women in the Lahmada camps, in an audio recording. They mention the total lack of basic food products, water, electricity... in these times of covid-19, reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
They claim to receive only a few food aid while NGOs bring the Polisario hundreds of thousands of tons of food aid intended for them. As an example, there is sometimes only one bag of wheat to be shared among 200 women, each of whom has a family, children and the elderly to feed!
In this audio recording, these women also denounce the rampant unemployment of young people and the cessation of activities of some merchants and carriers. All of which add to their misery.
